The Workshop Field Coordinator is an integral member of the Schluter®-Systems Education Team. This position works closely with the Atlanta Training Center Administrator to ensure the smooth execution of workshops hosted at the Alpharetta Training Center. In addition, the Field Coordinator supports remote workshops nationwide, requiring approximately 40% travel.
The role blends hands-on workshop preparation, facility support, and nationwide workshop execution. It requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
At the Alpharetta Training Center (60%)
· Collaborate with the Training Center Administrator to set up, maintain, and tear down workshop workstations.
· Keep the classroom, demo areas, and storage spaces organized and well maintained.
· Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and consumables; order supplies as needed.
· Report, repair, or replace damaged/missing tools, equipment, and workstations.
· Assist with local workshop logistics (catering, dinner reservations, transportation, etc.).
· Support other internal events hosted at the Alpharetta Training Center.
Travel / Remote Workshops (40%)
· Travel nationwide to support Schluter®-Systems workshops.
· Coordinate with Territory Managers and internal workshop coordinators prior to events to confirm logistics and requirements.
· Arrange travel and event logistics (rental trucks, flights, hotels, transportation).
· Lead onsite workshop setup: construct workstations, prepare demo/hands-on areas, and manage attendee materials.
· Provide live support to Instructors and Territory Managers during workshops (mixing thin set, assisting attendees, managing tools and materials).
· Oversee teardown, cleanup, and return of materials/tools after each event.
· Maintain workstations and tools between events, including repairs when necessary.
· Participate in national and regional trade shows or other special events as needed.
· Submit monthly Wex credit card expense reports within 5 days of receiving the statement.
· Complete and submit mileage/cash expense reports within 45 days of the earliest travel day, if applicable.
· Coordinate multiple workshops simultaneously with attention to timelines and communication.
· Basic construction and hand tool skills required.
· Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
· Ability to coordinate multiple workshops simultaneously and adapt on short notice.
· Ability to interact professionally with attendees and internal staff.
· Capable of working independently and as part of a team; takes ownership and solves problems effectively.
· Valid passport and driver’s license (no major violations; insurable).
· Eligible to rent and operate a 26’ transport truck.
· Able to pass drug screening and legally sign contracts with rental agencies.
· Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
· Represent Schluter®-Systems L.P. in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner.
