Job Description - Rental Agent

Overview

 

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Rental Coordinator to manage the day-to-day functions of the commercial rental department. This position is crucial for ensuring all rental operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

 



  • Customer engagement and sales:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all rental inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits.


    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with rental customers to ensure repeat business.


    • Provide expert guidance to customers on products and services to meet their specific rental needs.

    • Execute the rental process from inquiry to invoice, including securing all necessary customer information and documentation.




  • Operational management:


    • Manage and track daily rental utilization



    • Execute rental contracts and invoices


    • Develop and implement efficient billing routines to guarantee the timely and accurate invoicing of rental charges.

    • Assist the collections team with past-due invoices as needed.


    • Inspect trucks for damage/cleanliness before and after rentals, update inventory and ensure vehicles are ready for service





  • Safety and environmental standards:


    • Ensure the rental office and yard areas are clean and safe for both customers and staff.



    • Promote a customer-focused culture that emphasizes safety and cleanliness.





  • Administrative duties



    • Support the overall team environment by helping with Toll Management, Reporting, Data-Entry, Licensing Administration when needed.





 

 

 

Requirements

 


  • High School diploma or higher; advanced education or technical certifications in business, sales, or automotive/truck maintenance preferred.


  • Relevant industry experience preferred in dealership operations, rental/fleet management, or service roles a plus.



  • Strong customer service, communication, and professionalism



  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities


  • Valid Driver's License
