THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a RENTAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN to join our growing operations (Louisiana Rents) at our Lafayette, Louisiana location.

SALARY POTENTIAL

60,000 - $72,000 yearly range

The yearly range indicated is representative of the hourly rate, including typical overtime. This range is based on a technician’s experience, skills, education and training. For technicians, overtime is typically calculated on a daily basis after 8 hours worked.

YOU

The person in this role will be responsible for servicing and repairing construction rental equipment in the shop or in the field.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• You will have access to FREE training and development courses!
• You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all components of heavy rental equipment including diesel engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, and electrical codes
• You will create, track, and formalize work order documents on a timely basis
• You will have the ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED: High School Diploma or (GED) equivalent
• REQUIRED: Strong mechanical aptitude; Maintain a tool inventory; Louisiana Cat offers employees a Tooling Purchasing Program
• HIGHLY PREFERRED: Prior experience with Rental Equipment is helpful

JOB FACTS

• SHIFT SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm; may require working hours outside standard work schedule (specifics discussed during interviews)
• WORK ENVIRONMENT: Requires physical movement, lifting, squatting, bending, climbing, and working with mechanical rotating parts in the Louisiana climate
