REO Closing Specialist

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Closing team, where you will be immersed in a fast-paced environment, offering both customer support and administrative assistance. This role is crucial in revolutionizing the real estate experience, empowering both our team and clients to implement cutting-edge solutions and achieve outstanding outcomes.   

Specializing in REO properties, this position is responsible for promptly responding to all client email and phone calls and facilitating all client requests as well as proactively contacting clients to check on service levels and to request additional orders. Working in a team environment, the Closing Specialist will also be responsible for reviewing pipelines for priority of orders, performing curative on non closable files, provide information to other Title staff as needed, as well as disbursement of funds and releasing of cleared documents.

• Prepare estimated and signing HUD Settlement Statements (all HUD requests are completed within 1 hour of request)
• Address any funding conditions the lender may have
• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, and monitor and mitigate risk to the company 
• Work with Central Operations to address any recording rejects
• Run a daily trial balance and address any funds in the trust accounts
• Follow up on policy issuance and delivery to the client 
• Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements and title 

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a client facing Closing role within the Escrow Industry
• Minimum of 2 years working with REO properties
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• A customer-centric approach, coupled with a professional and upbeat demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at interacting with both internal and external parties, using diverse communication methods to meet customer needs and foster relationships.
• A  problem-solving mindset, with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a keen interest in learning.
• A collaborative spirit, enthusiastic about contributing to a team that strives to exceed customer expectations.
• Familiarity with MS Office suite and a willingness to quickly learn new software applications and technologies.
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
