Job Description - REO Lead

Description

  

Pre-Foreclosure Oversight

  • Research and prepare documentation for monthly REO review meetings, including tax data, property valuations, loan balances, redemption rights, and owner contacts.
  • Coordinate judicial foreclosure processes and manage external bidders across counties.

New Foreclosure File Setup

  • Create electronic files, scan and organize documentation, and manage property photos and mapping data.
  • Coordinate notices to vacate, including certified mail processes and redemption communication.
  • Prepare and submit eviction documentation; track hearings and writs as applicable.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate logs for REO inventory, including utility setups, maintenance schedules, and property insurance.
  • Oversee invoice approvals for repairs, maintenance, and vendor services.
  • Support rent collection processes and maintain rental payment logs in coordination with internal stakeholders.

Rental & Leasing Support

  • Draft leases and coordinate with tenants on rental issues and maintenance needs.
  • Work with legal partners and internal staff to manage evictions and related proceedings.

Disposition Support

  • Analyze property-level data to inform listing and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with listing agents and coordinate with title companies to resolve encumbrances or legal issues.
  • Represent Propel at eviction hearings as needed and support drive-bys or on-site visits.

   

Requirements

  

  • Active Texas Real Estate License required
  • Minimum 3 years of real estate experience, with a preference for REO or property management background
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing Laws, promulgated contracts, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable managing challenging conversations with diplomacy and professionalism
