Summary

City Market Co-Op is seeking a Replenishment Buyer who plays a crucial role in supporting the Grocery department by stocking and filling in for buying in all sub-departments. This position supports department objectives for sales and margin by assuring inventory levels, purchasing product, and participating in routine department tasks such as stocking, rotation, cleaning, and quality control.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Support and participate in stocking activities in the Grocery department.
• Support the purchasing activities by filling in for buying in all sub-departments.
• Monitor sales and margin metrics and help manage inventory levels. 
• Assist the department and helping to keep the equipment in working order, including cleaning, organizing shelves, producing displays, rotating stock, and labeling items.
• Assist other stockers, customers and staff as needed and offer the highest level of customer service.
• Compliance with established City Market procedures regarding operations, sales, & safety.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• 2 years of buying, receiving, or grocery retail experience OR 3 years of retail experience required.
• High School diploma or GED and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Experience with POS or inventory management software preferred. 
• Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
