Purpose of the role

The Reporting Specialist oversees Dentons' Europe Finance Team’s reporting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statements and compliance with local standards. Responsibilities include controlling and reporting tasks, on-time submission of reports with accurate and correct results. The role support accountant team and Finance manager for the operations, consolidation and audit.

Responsibilities:

  • Communication with internal teams and colleagues from finance teams across Europe.
  • Responsibility for calculating regional and global costs and their correct allocation within Europe.
  • Collaboration with the accounting team in cost allocation.
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to track invoices received from third parties and Dentons offices and adequately assign them to cost centres (functions) and offices.
  • Dealing with suppliers, other Dentons offices, and finance teams to verify data accuracy, resolve discrepancies and clarify underlying documentation.
  • Processing summaries on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting (management accounts).
  • Active involvement in the global financial transformation project (e.g., reporting, system implementation, and introduction of new processes).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position in an international or BIG 4 environment.
  • Experience in dealing with external and internal suppliers and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Excellent spoken and written knowledge of English (Czech language is an advantage).
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, especially advanced knowledge of Excel, is a must.
  • Experience with accounting software and knowledge of tax and accounting legislation of the Czech Republic is an advantage
