About Countervail Engineering
Countervail Engineering, Inc. was founded in 2019 on the idea that “ with the right perspectives, processes and software tools the Transportation Infrastructure industry can manage the increasing complexity of modern projects. ” Our industry is facing increasing delivery risk (and opportunity) due to alternative delivery methods (e.g. design-build and design-build-operate-maintain), and often lacks actionable design and implementation processes to manage this risk and capture the opportunities.
To close that gap and bring success to our customers, Countervail Engineering augments traditional Construction and A&E firms’ design and delivery approach by:
Leveraging Systems Engineering and Systems Integration processes, perspectives and people-skills tailored specifically to the construction-focused needs of the Transportation Infrastructure Industry, and;
Bringing mission-critical, high-technology design expertise suited to the unique lifecycle challenges involving integrating technology elements into traditional infrastructure.
Countervail Engineering staff brings decades of experience in Systems Engineering / Systems Integration, Communications Systems Design, Train Control / CBTC Design, and Rail Systems Design Management gathered from careers in commercial design-build construction, land-side aviation, high-technology semiconductor, and transit and rail industries. Staff have obtained professional certifications from the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and Professional Engineer licenses from multiple US states. With this deep and wide bench of experience, Countervail Engineering provides customers with design expertise and tailored and actionable processes and procedures that allow the project team to break out of static design-bid-build thinking and address the technical and collaborative needs present in modern Transportation Infrastructure project delivery.
