  • Provide hands-on support during prototype builds, troubleshooting molds and molding equipment

  • Lead new process development and qualification activities

  • Manage multiple concurrent R&D composites projects independently

  • Test and validate prototype tooling and process parameters

  • Collaborate with engineering and technical staff across Re:Build sites

  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for materials, tooling, and services

  • Document R&D processes, test results, specifications, and best practices

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related engineering discipline

  • 5+ years of thermoplastic processing experience (thermoforming, injection molding, compression molding, or thermoplastic composites)

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and tooling design

  • Hands-on experience working with molds and molding equipment

  • Strong understanding of thermoplastic materials and processing parameters

  • Process development and prototyping experience

  • Experience managing multiple projects independently

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of thermoplastic processing experience

  • Experience with multiple thermoplastic processes (thermoforming, injection molding, compression molding, thermoplastic composites)

  • Prototype mold design experience

  • Material science or polymer engineering background

  • Experience in R&D or advanced manufacturing environments

  • FEA or simulation analysis experience

  • Experience with emerging composites technologies

Work Environment

  • Primarily based at Re:Build's Denver facility

  • Mix of office/engineering environment and hands-on R&D lab/shop floor work

  • Active participation during prototype builds and testing

  • Occasional travel to other Re:Build sites or suppliers

  • Standard day shift, Monday through Friday

Additional Details

Work Week is onsite - Monday - Friday
