The Research Assistant will work with the Translational Research Program Clinical Research Coordinator to recruit participants, with and without autoimmune disease, for the Translational Research Program Immune Mediated Disease Registry and Repository.
Responsibilities include data collection and administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry. Data collection tasks involve enrolling study participants, obtaining health history information via direct interview, and collecting and transporting biologic specimens, such as blood and tissue. The Research Assistant will also provide administrative support to help meet various regulatory requirements, such as maintaining and filing regulatory forms.
Qualifications
The position requires strong computer, written, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and a high school diploma. Any knowledge of or experience with clinical or social science research, health care, or customer service is preferred. Previous experience using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and/or databases desired.
If no previous phlebotomy experience, training will be provided, as the ability to successfully complete required trainings and obtain Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant – Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant - Registered certificates is required.
This is not a lab-based position.
