Research Associate

BioTalent have partnered with a well known brand who are a recognized leader within microscopy and bio-imaging to search for a Research Associate with a background in Transcriptomics analysis and microscopy.

This role will offer you:

Opportunity to join a start up division of a global company building out functionality within transcriptomics analysis and microscopy.

You will be responsible for:

Support development of Transcriptomics analysis, working with RNA-Seq or scRNA-seq methods, and performing NGS data analysis using open source Python or R tools.

Laboratory bench work, including histology, tissue processing and immunohistochemistry, molecular and cell biology, image analysis, bioinformatics support and associated cell-based assay development, and managing laboratory protocols and consumables.

Communicate with and support Scientists to develop research project proposals for contracts with external customers, including providing input and recommendations with regards to experimental protocols.

Create project summaries and reports, including experimental results, quantitative analysis, optimized protocols and contribute to writing, data analysis, and figure preparation for presentations, scientific reports, and publications.

You will bring the following:

BS or MS in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Neuroscience or a related.

Experience working with Transcriptomics analysis such as RNA Seq or scRNA-seq is an essential.

5+ years relevant laboratory work experience for BS, 2+ years for MS.

Current, valid driver's license.

Previous experience in a biopharma, CRO or academic core facility setting is a strong plus.
