Job Description - Research Associate - Temporary

We are seeking a research associate in the ADPE group (12-month contract). The candidate is expected to support the Protein Sciences team in providing high-quality biologics in a timely manner for biochemical, biophysical, and biological characterizations to drive the advancement of novel therapeutics. The candidate will be responsible for the purification, QC of all biologic molecules ( including bispecific and multi-specific antibodies, fusion proteins) and will support developability studies. Tasks will include analytics of proteins by analytical SEC, SDS-PAGE, DSF, DLS, endotoxin assessment, etc. Purification strategies will include the use of AKTA systems and various chromatography techniques (protein-A/G, Ni-NTA, SEC, IEX, HIC, etc).
Responsibilities:

Responsible for purification of high-quality monoclonal antibodies, bi-specific/multi-specific antibodies, fusion proteins, as well as reagent proteins from CHO cells and HEK293 cells
Early molecular assessment for antibody developability evaluation
Document and present experimental results at team meetings
Qualifications:

B.S. with 0-2 years of industry experience
Self-motivated and highly collaborative with excellent oral and written communication skills and organization skills
Strong desire to drive technical innovation
Experience with protein purification and a wide range of biochemical/biophysical and analytical methods, such as SDS-PAGE, HPLC/UHPLC, DSF, DLS, endotoxin quantitation/removal
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in a creative, open, collaborative, team-oriented setting
$25 - $35 an hour

Hourly rate ranges will be determined by the candidate’s level, qualifications, skill set, and experience.
