Job Description Summary:

Perform modeling and machining of ultrahigh vacuum parts for materials science applications and setting up electronic hardware

The Department of Physics at Colorado State University has roughly 20 faculty members with research programs in atomic, molecular, and optical physics; condensed matter physics; and high-energy physics and particle astrophysics. Essential Job Duties:

• 3D modeling in CAD software

• ultrahigh vacuum components design

• 3D printing, steel machining, electronics

Conditions of Employment:

Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in AutoCad, UHV equipment knowledge, machining, electronics

Preferred Qualifications: 

Proven CAD modeling, hardware programming
