Job Description - Research Scientist - Etch Processes

The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices / procedures.

The individual filling this position will be responsible for projects involving Plasma Etching processes, design of new etching gases and process evaluation for semiconductor applications.

Build knowledge on etching gas, structure and functional relationship based on plasma process performance.

Achieve and coordinate research project objectives and deliverables in a timely manner.

Provide technical leadership and lead projects.

Promote innovative development of intellectual property Prepare presentation material for internal and external meetings and conferences Develop and sustain new customer/OEM/academic/consortia relationships Develop and support new and alternative technologies

Interact with AL global business and marketing teams Interact from time to time on as-need basis with global R&D to: lead and foster customer interactions, participate and present at technical conferences, lead or participate in Industrial partnerships and academic collaborations.

The Salary rate range for this position in "Delaware" is $104k - $113k
