About the Job

Temporary Research Specialist in Esther Krook-Magnuson Lab.
Major responsibilities of this position include:

50% Data collection and analysis. Specifically, using optogenetics to manipulate the cerebellum while recording from hippocampal interneurons using calcium imaging and miniscopes while the animals perform behavioral tasks.

25% Training other lab members. Specifically, training other lab members in in vivo calcium imaging of the hippocampus using miniscopes.

25% Manuscript editing, record organization, and other general upkeep duties.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

A PhD in Neuroscience or a related field. Experience with in vivo optogenetic manipulation of the cerebellum during mouse behavior with concurrent calcium imaging from the hippocampus using miniscopes, including experience achieving appropriately selective GCaMP expression, and experience with associated analyses.
