Resident Aid / Behavioral Health Tech- NOC shift: SUD Treatment Center

• Assist with intakes and orient clients to the facility, daily routines, and program expectations.


• Support client safety and well-being through assigned rounds and observation procedures.


• Observe and report changes in mood, behavior, physical condition, and program engagement to nursing and clinical staff.


• Provide support and build rapport while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.


• Provide effective crisis-intervention and use therapeutic communication, verbal de-escalation, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients manage distress.


• Support clients attendance and participation in groups, therapy sessions, appointments, and therapeutic activities.


• Facilitate structured activities and groups, as assigned.


• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, meetings and therapeutic outings.


• Conduct belongings, facility, and person searches to help maintain a safe treatment environment.


• Administer drug and alcohol screenings to clients as needed


• Observe and document clients self-administration of prescribed medication


• Complete timely and objective shift reports, incident reports, group notes and other required documentation according to company policy.


• Ensure the facility is clean, organized, safe, and in compliance at all times.


• Other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Qualifications:

• Current registration with CCAPP required. (RADT, etc.)


• At least 21 years of age.


• High School graduate or equivalent.


• One year experience working directly with clients in a detox/residential treatment setting.


• Coursework in addiction counseling, psychology, or social work, preferred


• Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment.


• Demonstrates ability to work independently and as a team player while maintaining appropriate boundaries.


• Excellent oral and written communication skills.


• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
