Resident Assistant (weekend required)

Description

Country Village Assisted Living for the elderly is looking for a positive person who is patient, caring and enjoys assisting the elderly with activities of daily living. Come down to our facility, which most say looks like a bed and breakfast -- a home.

Caregivers are expected to assist our residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, dressing needs, meal services, laundry, and tidying up/housekeeping. We are currently seeking individuals who are teachable and want to be part of a great team.

Physical Attributes of the job: Frequently position self (stooping, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 pounds, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting at the waist).

Weekend availability required

At least 3 months experience in caregiving required

Must be at least 18 years old to apply

Open shift:

2:00pm - 10:00pm (PM)

10:00pm - 6:30am (NOC) *Fri-Sun required

Healthcare setting: Assisted living facility for the elderly

Schedule:

8-hour shift

Dayshift

Evening shift

Weekends as needed

Licensing Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to receive and maintain a California Background Clearance through the Department of Social Services.
• Each employee must have a physical examination and tuberculosis test performed by a physician. The tests are to be completed (with results) no more than six (6) months prior to, or within seven (7) days after hire (unless regulations stipulate completion before employment). If the exams are not completed within this time frame, the employee will be placed on suspension until they are completed.
