Job Description - Resident District Manager - Campus Dining Services
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Resident District Manager to lead a high-performing dining and hospitality program at Binghamton University in Vestal, NY. In this role, you'll oversee a multi-unit dining district that includes residential dining, retail outlets, catering, and conference services. You'll be responsible for year-round operations and seasonal programs, ensuring excellence in food quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all campus dining operations, including residential dining, retail food service, catering, and special events.
Collaborate with university partners to align business goals, culinary innovation, and service excellence.
Drive operational performance, including budgeting, cost control, and labor management, to achieve financial objectives.
Implement and champion initiatives in sustainability, diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I), and community engagement.
Build and mentor a high-performing management team while promoting professional growth and internal advancement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and client standards.
Lead strategic planning, forecasting, and new program development across all dining units.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership role within large-scale food service or hospitality operations.
Proven experience managing budgets of $20 million or more.
Strong financial and operational acumen with a record of achieving or exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs).
Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, performance management, and employee development.
Experience in unionized environments and managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders.
Preferred:
Experience in higher education dining services or large hospitality environments.
Background in multi-location food service management.
