Job Description - Resident Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS:

5 years of related experience with gas industry pipeline construction with a minimum of 1 year of compressor station construction/repair experience for compression projects preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a Supervisory position with pipeline operating companies or pipeline construction contractor preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of college study of Construction Management, Engineering or Accounting preferred.
Knowledge of and experience using Company D&C Manual preferred.
Excellent organizational, scheduling and communication skills.
Must possess good computer skills including proficiency with common desktop software applications including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Excellent organization, communication, and document control skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Possess ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures.
Experience with mapping skills for maintaining and updating As-Built conditions.
Ability to utilize March charts to analyze earned value.
Ability to project cash flows and invoicing based on trending from daily reports.
Ability to supervise personnel.
Must possess dispute resolution skills.
Experience and knowledge of applying standard health, safety and environmental requirements on construction projects required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop an understanding of the Company Safety Culture - Commitment to Zero policy and Stop Work Authority responsibilities.
Continue to gain knowledge of Company D&C Manual content specific to standards and Craft Inspection responsibilities related to individual's inspection and documentation requirements.
Complete all required reports and summaries for the project.
Maintain databases as required for the project.
Utilize march charts and analyze earned value.
Project cash flows and invoicing using trends from daily reports.
Attend project related meetings as required.
Maintain and update As-Built drawings.
Support field and administrative responsibilities of the Chief Inspector.
Act as liaison between the Contractor, Chief Inspector and Company Construction Project manager (CPM).
