Position Summary: The Resident Experience Coordinator works with the Director of Resident Experience to coordinate and provide diversified programs to residents through individual and group activities enabling each resident to engage in cultural, spiritual, physical, political, social and intellectual programs and events.
Accountabilities: The Resident Experience Coordinator is accountable for all resident programs offered by meeting the needs, skill levels, and interests of all the residents at InspÄ«r, and responding to and adjusting programs based on resident’s feedback, suggestions, and complaints.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree Required
· Experience in activity planning and coordination with seniors preferred
· Experience and interest in working with seniors
· Must be creative, organized and innovative
· Excellent communication and engagement skills
· Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Personal Characteristics
· Must be effective in understanding all technology used in programming and train new staff in its use
· Engage one to one with residents as needed for more personalized experiences
· Oral and Written Comprehension and Expression - Must be able to convey and understand information and ideas in English
· Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
· Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
· Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from multiple sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular situation
· Exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly, to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
· Ability to bend, stretch, stoop and reach repeatedly without difficulty
· Ability to stand for long hours and walk long distances without fatigue
· Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
· Utilize technology as a means of communication necessary to support resident needs and ensure operational compliance as well as resident safety and security
Typical Work Duties & Functions
· Provide outstanding customer service to all residents and visitors of residents in the community
· Facilitate socialization among residents by creating, developing and implementing innovative programs/activities for residents
· Responsible for inviting and/or cuing residents to participate in planned activities by formulating and implementing innovative methods for resident outreach
· Conduct and/or lead a majority of the programs, and alternatively, ensure appropriate personnel is leading the program
· Assist Director and Associate Director in administrative tasks as needed to ensure continued functioning of department
· Be flexible in work schedule to accommodate special events and evening/weekend programs
· Assists with the implementation of special events
· Assists with family functions and events
· Identify supplies needed for planned experienced
· Participate in on-going in-service and training requirements
· Follow emergency procedures
· Understand and comply with all InspÄ«r safety practices and procedures
· Carries out other duties as assigned by supervisor
Working Conditions
· Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. including COVID-19, HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis B & C viruses
· Under variable temperature conditions
· Under variable noise levels
· Outdoors/Indoors
· Around chemicals, fumes and or odor hazards
· Around dust and or mite hazards
· Property operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
· Required to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
· Required to work extended hours and to report to work during times of need including inclement weather and when building concerns arise
· Could be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents due to mental infirmities
· Criminal background check required
