Resident Initiatives Coordinator

The Resident Initiatives Coordinator will do the following:

• Coordinate support services, provide case management and planning for residents of the local housing authority and Section 8 participants


• Coordinate all aspects of a self-sufficiency program


• Perform liaison work between public and private local community support organizations and residents of the public housing developments and Section 8


• Create service plans for identified residents and will be responsible for finding the needed service, educating the residents, and providing all follow-through


• Work with outside agencies, family, and staff, and create a group of volunteers to provide support in the areas including, but not limited to parenting, housekeeping, resident conflict resolution, socialization, fulfilling lease obligations, transportation, health, assistance and counseling.


• Assist with grant proposals and implementing new grants

Desired Education, Skills and Experience:

• Need someone with experience in all of the above, especially with case management


• Prefer a degree in Social Work, Sociology and Psychology or other relevant degree


• Need someone who can multi-task and juggle many things at one time


• Person has to be a great communicator 


• Person has to want to be in this field for the right reasons

Job resides in Chambersburg PA and the hours are generally 9:00-4:30. Some days will be different depending on activities scheduled.   This is a full-time job with a full benefits package.  Please apply within the link or send your resume to TONY at [email protected].
