Job Description - Resident Support Coordinator


The Lutheran Home is seeking a Resident Support Coordinator to join our welcoming healthcare community. This key role, available for full-time or part-time, is ideal for a hospitality-minded individual who shares our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship. You’ll play a key role in supporting residents through appointment coordination, transportation, donation efforts, welcome bag preparation, and helping with activities. If you’re friendly, dependable, and committed to creating a positive and welcoming environment for others, we invite you to join our team.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Warmly assist residents, visitors, and families
  • Schedule and coordinate resident appointments
  • Accompany residents to appointments and activities
  • Assist with transportation, including hospital pickups
  • Organize and distribute donations
  • Prepare and deliver welcome bags
  • Support resident activities and events
  • Address resident needs and concerns promptly
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized environment
  • Collaborate with staff to foster and support a positive community culture

This position is available full-time or part-time, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend hours. Full-time team members are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program, including:

Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, reliable, and able to multitask
  • Comfortable assisting with residents with transportation (non-transfer related)
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional
  • Basic computer skills (email, scheduling)
  • Experience with scheduling preferred
