Kainos Home and Training Center is an established and well-respected Redwood City non-profit that has been serving adults with developmental disabilities since 1974. Our mission is to assist adults with developmental disabilities in reaching their full potential while helping them become active, contributing members of the community. Kainos provides quality residential, vocational and support services, forming an integrated network of training opportunities.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
You have a passion for social services. You have experience working with people who have developmental disabilities. This position requires being hands on with your program, clients and staff. You enjoy being part of a dynamic team. You are a creative thinker, a passionate leader, and have the organization skills required to keep on top of the many moving parts of this position.
SUMMARY:
Our mission at Kainos is to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to be as independent as possible in their home and community. The Assistant Program Manager will work closely with the Program Manager in one of our group homes to lead a dynamic team of staff who work cooperatively to provide a safe and stimulating environment for those we serve. We take a person-centered approach to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents. The Assistant Manager will be tasked with a variety of jobs including: setting up and ordering medications, helping with banking and budgeting, taking residents to medical appointments and doing hands-on living skills with residents.
