Residential AV & Smart Home Integration Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Residential AV & Smart Home Integration Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. This full-time, hands-on role focuses on installing, programming, and maintaining advanced home automation and audio/video systems, providing homeowners with seamless, high-quality technology experiences. The position involves working directly in clients’ residences to integrate whole-home audio, video, and control systems, ensuring every installation meets both functional and aesthetic standards.

In this role based in Milwaukee, you will handle the setup and fine-tuning of custom smart home platforms such as Control4, Crestron, or Savant, as well as networking and audio/video systems. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and comfortable delivering professional, client-focused service while collaborating with project managers and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and integrate residential AV and smart home systems, including distributed audio, home theaters, TVs, and connected devices
• Program and configure automation platforms such as Control4, Crestron, or comparable systems
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and calibration to ensure peak performance
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling, mount TVs, and install equipment racks accurately
• Support home networking setups and video surveillance integration
• Educate homeowners on system usage, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
• Coordinate with project managers and team members to complete installations on schedule and to exacting standards

• Hands-on experience with residential AV systems and smart home/CI platforms (Control4, Crestron, Savant, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring, network configuration, and system setup
• Ability to interpret diagrams, installation plans, and layouts
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for Milwaukee-area projects
• Professional demeanor and strong client communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
