The center offers a safe haven and a range of vital services, from emergency shelter to counseling, ensuring that every person in need receives the care and assistance necessary to rebuild and empower their lives.
The Residential Case Manager is a crucial support role to survivors residing in the shelter, providing guidance and resources to individuals and families. This role involves creating a welcoming and supportive space for survivors, helping them to adjust to the shelter, and working with them to set and achieve personal goals. The goal is to empower survivors to regain autonomy and prepare for a successful and independent life post-shelter. This position requires a compassionate approach and a commitment to the survivor's confidentiality and safety.
The ideal candidate has experience in a residential setting and exhibits empathy, self-leadership, and effective decision-making skills. A bachelor's degree in social work/human services and some experience in crisis intervention and group facilitation are preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered. Knowledge of domestic violence is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
The clientele of the Residential Case Manager is primarily survivors of domestic violence, but the individual will occasionally work with survivors of sexual assault. This position is primarily scheduled for first-shift hours and works with the team to cover open shifts and holidays when necessary.
