Residential Construction Estimator

We are seeking a Residential Construction Estimator who excels in a fast-paced environment and produces accurate, detailed, and timely estimates for high-end custom homes and remodels.

Position Summary
The Estimator will prepare comprehensive cost estimates, perform detailed takeoffs, and work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to support pricing accuracy, project planning, and overall profitability. This role ensures that clients receive transparent and precise budgets that align with the company’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications for scope clarity and cost impact
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for new custom builds, renovations, and additions
• Prepare labor and material cost estimates across all residential trades
• Maintain pricing databases, supplier lists, and subcontractor relationships
• Support bid strategy and proposal development with the Project Manager
• Assist with preliminary scheduling, critical path planning, and budgeting reviews
• Track estimate changes, value engineering options, and budget updates
• Participate in design-development reviews as needed

• Three or more years of residential construction estimating experience preferred

• Strong understanding of residential materials, methods, and sequencing

• Familiarity with digital takeoff software such as PlanSwift, B2W, or Bluebeam

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and construction-related software
