Residential Electrical and Systems Engineer

Overview

Holm Electric is seeking a Residential
Electrical and Systems Engineer to join our growing team. This is an in-office
position— not remote.

We are looking for a

and become a leader. In this role, you’ll focus on the engineering of
residential electrical infrastructure and equipment connections — ensuring that
power distribution, technology systems, and equipment installations are
designed for efficiency, safety, and long-term reliability. If you’re passionate

Responsibilities

• Engineer
  residential electrical infrastructure, including service, panel layouts,
  branch circuits, and load distribution.
  
• Design
  and coordinate equipment connections for lighting, HVAC, appliances,
  generators, and integrated home technology.
  
• Develop
  clear and accurate documentation, schematics, and construction drawings.
  
• Collaborate
  with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure build able designs.
  
• Integrate
  structured cabling, networking, and smart home systems into infrastructure
  plans.
  
• Provide
  technical guidance and problem-solving support during installations and
  commissioning.
  
• Ensure
  all designs comply with NEC, local codes, and manufacturer requirements.
  
• Continuously
  learn new technologies and prepare to step into leadership opportunities.
  
• Work
  in-office to support collaboration across engineering, estimating, and project
  teams.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s
  degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  (or equivalent work experience).
  
• 1–3
  years of relevant engineering or electrical design experience (residential
  preferred, but not required).
  
• Knowledge
  of infrastructure engineering: power distribution, load calculations, and
  equipment connections.
  
• Strong
  problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  
• Familiarity
  with CAD or design software preferred.
  
• Understanding
  of smart home technologies, generators, and A/V systems is a plus.
  
• Highly
  motivated with the desire to grow into a leadership role.
  
• Must be
  able to work full-time in-office (this is not a remote role).
