Position Overview

As a Residential Gas Pipe Installer at Dave Jones, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of gas piping systems for residential properties.

Compensation Details:

• $22 to $30 per hour based on experience
• Company truck + fuel card

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and practice the principles of code-compliant gas systems using copper, steel and flexible piping. 
• Competent in blueprint reading and general layout from both designed and non-pre drawn designs. 
• Cut/core openings in structures to accommodate pipes and fittings using hand and power tools. 
• Ensure no leaks and compliance with gas provider and municipality requirements through system testing. 
• Calculate BTU loads and properly size piping schematics. 
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, regulators, and appliances. 
• Assist in the training and development of Youth Apprentices, Pre-Apprentices, and Apprentices on the job sites. 

• 1+ years of experience in gas pipe installation or related field.
• Knowledge of gas codes and safety regulations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
• Ability to work alone
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
