We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Lead Installer to join our growing team and take charge of leading installation crews in the field. This is a full-time, direct placement opportunity with a trusted local mechanical contractor. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in residential HVAC installation, takes pride in their work, and is ready to step into a leadership role on job sites.

Primary Responsibilities

Installation Leadership

• Lead residential HVAC installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code
   
• Serve as the on-site lead, coordinating tasks and guiding junior technicians or helpers
   
• Communicate effectively with project managers and supervisors regarding job progress
   

Hands-On Work

• Perform installations of residential HVAC systems including ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, and high-efficiency units
   
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues in the field
   
• Ensure proper use of materials, tools, and safety procedures
   

Customer Service & Job Quality

• Maintain professionalism and clear communication with homeowners
   
• Ensure installations meet or exceed code, manufacturer, and customer expectations
   
• Provide basic system walkthroughs and support to homeowners upon job completion
   

Support & Communication

• Coordinate with office staff for scheduling, material needs, and updates
   
• Identify and report additional service opportunities or customer concerns

Requirements

 Qualifications

Required:

• 2–3 years of residential HVAC installation experience  
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation techniques  
• EPA Certification  
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record  
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces  

Preferred:

• OSHA 10/30 certification  
• Experience leading or mentoring install teams  
• Familiarity with ductless, high-efficiency, and smart HVAC systems
