THE POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Designer to create, showcase, and sell both residential and commercial landscape designs. This person will work alongside our clients and team members to create a design that best caters to the client’s needs and desires. We’re looking to add another in-house designer whose design style aligns with our established aesthetic and the type of work we specialize in.
This is a full-time position paying $50K+ salary plus commission (estimated $30K+ first year). RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct on-site client consultations to provide design solutions and recommendations
Generate landscape designs utilizing AutoCAD, including softscaping, hardscaping, lighting, and drainage
Create design proposals and cost estimates for residential and commercial properties based on accurate field measurements and analyses
Serve as a primary contact for clients to foster relationships and close sales
Heavy focus on designing, client consultations, site visits, and revisions. Position supported by a sales and administrative team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in landscape architecture or landscape design, or a demonstrated depth of horticulture knowledge from prior landscape design experience
Professional industry experience creating landscape and hardscape designs
Knowledge of horticultural materials suitable for North Carolina and proper planting techniques
Strong understanding of landscape construction products, methods, and procedures, including softscapes, hardscapes, grading, drainage, irrigation, and lighting
Proficiency in AutoCAD; additional experience with Adobe Suite or 3D modeling programs a plus
Tech/computer proficiency and willingness to learn; familiarity with Google Suite and LMN estimating software a plus
Proven proficiency in increasing sales through lead generation and client relationships
Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor with a natural ability for cultivating positive relationships
Strong willingness, drive, and proactive approach to reach and exceed individual and company goals
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
