Residential Maintenace Technician

Job Title: Property Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tupelo, MS. This role is best suited for someone with a strong background in residential or apartment maintenance and a proven record of steady employment. While HVAC certification is not required, candidates with basic HVAC knowledge will be strongly considered. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a solid skill set, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting
  




• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency issues
  




• Conduct regular property inspections and perform preventative maintenance
  




• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of exterior property areas, including light landscaping and structural upkeep
  




• Communicate effectively with property managers and tenants to ensure maintenance needs are addressed
  




• Keep tools, equipment, and workspaces safe and organized
  




• Accurately log all work completed and materials used
  




• Follow all safety standards and building codes
  




• Perform other related duties as assigned
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on property maintenance experience (required)
  




• Prior experience working in apartment complexes or residential homes (required)
  




• Basic understanding of HVAC systems is a plus
  




• Strong work ethic with a reliable and stable employment history
  




• Ability to work independently, multitask, and resolve issues effectively
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  




• Able to lift 50+ lbs and safely operate ladders, hand tools, and power tools
  




• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  




• Must be able to commute to Tupelo, MS 38801 (Required)
  




• Must be willing to relocate to Tupelo, MS 38801 before starting work (Required)
