The Residential Operations Manager oversees daily residential operations within an ASAM 3.1 substance use treatment program, supporting team members in providing high‑quality, person‑centered services to residents transitioning through step‑down care. Working closely with clinical and administrative leadership, this role helps ensure smooth operations, clear expectations, and regulatory compliance. This position is well‑suited for a leader who values teamwork, accountability, and making a meaningful impact.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day operational oversight of the residential program to ensure safety, structure, and continuity of care
Supervise, support, and schedule Direct Support Professionals to ensure appropriate coverage and accountability
Serve as the primary point of escalation for resident or staff concerns and implement timely resolutions
Collaborate with clinical leadership to align residential operations with treatment services and resident needs
Ensure timely and accurate documentation, audits, and compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, ASAM, and organizational standards
Support admissions, medication administration oversight, drug screening, and resident engagement in scheduled services
Conduct safety checks, facility inspections, and oversee inventory, supplies, and residential systems
Provide crisis intervention and on‑call coverage as needed to support program stability
Lead training and development activities for residential staff
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of leadership, supervisory, or operational management experience
Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing staff performance, and promoting accountability
Experience overseeing daily operations, coordinating workflows, and resolving staff or program-related concerns
Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
Experience with scheduling, staffing, compliance, quality assurance, or program oversight preferred
Behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential services, healthcare, or human services experience preferred
Knowledge of DBHDS, DMAS, ASAM, or other behavioral health regulations preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to successfully complete required background and registry checks
