Residential Program Manager (Developmental Disabilities Services)

Abilities, LLC is seeking a motivated and compassionate Residential Program Manager (RPM) to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations in multiple residential homes, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and leading a team of House Managers and Direct Support Professionals

.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise approximately 2–4 House Managers and 20–30 Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).


• Oversee daily residential operations including staffing, compliance, and documentation.


• Monitor and ensure implementation of Person-Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).


• Coordinate health, safety, and behavioral supports, including oversight of medication administration and crisis response.


• Maintain communication with individuals, guardians, interdisciplinary teams, and state agencies.


• Complete required reporting, audits, and participate in rotating on-call duties with other administrators.

Education/Experience:

• 4-year degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, special education, or social work OR 4 years of documented, verifiable experience within the developmental disability field.


• Valid driver’s license, clean background check, and drug screen required.


• Experience supervising and leading teams.


• Must be assertive – meaning the ability to communicate clearly, set boundaries, make confident decisions, and address issues promptly and respectfully without being passive or aggressive.


• Ability to use discretion and context when making decisions and handling sensitive information.


• Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and remain focused under pressure.


• Must be able to respond to homes located within Warrensburg when on-call.

Schedule

• Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM


• Flexibility to work in residential homes when needed.


• Ability to respond after-hours as required.


• Rotating weekend on-call coverage shared with administrative team.


• Flexible scheduling and time off.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to type and write for extended periods and sit at a computer for 4+ hours.


• Capability to walk, run, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and physically restrain individuals using MANDT techniques if necessary.

• Starting salary: Minimum $50,000/year ($961.54 weekly), exempt position. Dependent upon experience.

Supervision

• Reports directly to the Lead RPM, with oversight from the Director’s Office.


• Directly supervises House Managers and DSPs across assigned residential homes.
