Position Summary


The Residential Program Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the strength, stability, and sustainability of the residential program at Seamark Ranch. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and supporting house parents and relief staff, while maintaining compliance with Seamark policies, Florida DCF requirements, and best practices in residential care.


 


This individual serves as both a shepherd and systems manager—investing relationally in house parents while also ensuring operational excellence. The Residential Program Manager works to build a strong pipeline of mission-aligned house parents and ensures current staff are equipped, supported, and held accountable in their role of providing Christ-centered, family-style care.


 


Essential Functions


Houseparent Scheduling & Coverage



  • Develop and manage all houseparent and relief parent schedules, including weekly rotations, vacation coverage, relief weeks, date nights, trainings and professional development, meetings and required program events.

  • Ensure all homes are consistently and appropriately staffed.

  • Maintain proactive scheduling systems to prevent gaps in coverage.

  • Coordinate last-minute coverage needs and emergency staffing situations.


 


Houseparent Support & Care



  • Build strong, trusting relationships with house parents through regular communication and presence in the homes.

  • Provide ongoing support by understanding individual and family needs, addressing challenges in real time, offering encouragement and spiritual support.

  • Serve as a first-line support for problem-solving within the homes.

  • Promote a healthy, sustainable work-life rhythm for houseparent families.


 


Training, Accountability & Compliance



  • Ensure house parents are fully trained and consistently operating in alignment with Seamark Ranch policies and procedures, Florida DCF licensing requirements, trauma-informed, and Christ-centered care practices.

  • Coordinate and/or lead new houseparent onboarding and training, ongoing professional development, and required compliance trainings.

  • Monitor and document adherence to expectations.

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when needed.

  • Partner with leadership to maintain audit readiness and documentation compliance.


 


Recruitment & Pipeline Development



  • Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to build a strong pipeline of future house parents.

  • Actively recruit through local churches and faith-based networks, colleges and universities, job fairs, community events, summer camps, and ministry organizations.

  • Cultivate relationships with potential candidates and maintain an active candidate pool.

  • Coordinate interest meetings, informational sessions, and on-campus or church presentations.

  • Partner with leadership in the interview and selection process.


 


Program Alignment & Collaboration



  • Collaborate with the Director of Programs to ensure consistency across homes.

  • Support alignment between residential life and each youth’s individualized care plan.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to program improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in developing systems that improve communication, efficiency, and staff support.


 


Other Duties and Responsibilities


Performs other duties as assigned.
Support campus-wide events and ministry activities as needed.


 


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills

  • Relational leadership with the ability to support and guide families

  • Clear and effective communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent needs

  • Ability to uphold policies while maintaining a supportive and encouraging approach

  • Proficiency in basic technology systems (email, scheduling tools, spreadsheets)


 


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, ministry, human services, or a related field

  • Experience in residential care, foster care, ministry, or family-style caregiving

  • Experience in staff supervision, scheduling, or recruitment

  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and youth development principles


 


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to move throughout the ranch property regularly

  • Ability to respond to urgent situations on-site when necessary


 


Work Environment & Schedule



  • Combination of office, residential homes, and community-based recruitment settings

  • Regular interaction with staff, youth, and external partners

  • Flexible schedule required to meet program and staffing needs

  • Ability to attend evening or weekend events as required
