Job Description - Residential Sheet Metal Installer

We’re seeking a Skilled Residential Sheet Metal Installer to fabricate and install ductwork in homes and light‑commercial projects. This key role combines precision shop fabrication with on-site installation, requiring someone who takes pride in their craft, pays attention to detail, and is passionate about delivering comfort through high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate ductwork and sheet metal components using shears, brakes, welding, and hand tools.
  • Read, interpret, and occasionally produce shop and field drawings (CAD familiarity a plus).
  • Measure, install, and seal duct systems per residential design specifications and codes.
  • Collaborate with HVAC techs, foremen, and homeowners—maintaining clean, safe job sites.
  • Ensure installations meet quality standards and perform pressure/leak tests.
  • Assist with continuous improvement: optimizing material usage, reducing scrap, refining layouts.
     
Requirements: 
  • Three (3) years of hands-on sheet metal experience, specifically in residential ductwork fabrication and installation.
  • Strong foundation in math, blueprint reading, and framing/layout
  • Proficiency with power tools: shears, press brakes, welding gear, sheet metal hand tools.
  • Commitment to pride in craft and craftsmanship, you take satisfaction in precise seams, tight connections, and clean finishes
  • Excellent communication skills, punctuality, and reliability
  • Valid driver’s license and clean record

Compensation: $42-$60 per hour DOE

Our benefits package includes:
  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Life A&D after 60 Days
  • 40 hours of PTO after 90 Days + 48 hours after one year of employment
  • Take home company vehicle
  • Optional Simple IRA after one year. Company matches up to 3%
  • 6 paid holidays
