Job Purpose

The Residential Support Concierge is responsible for providing a range of services to residents and assisting team members based on departments needs in housekeeping, dining service, and concierge service. The Residential Support Concierge creates a comfortable and enjoyable living environment for residents by taking care of their day-to-day needs and ensuring a high level of customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs various tasks based on daily departments needs within the community such as supporting staff in Housekeeping, Dining, and Concierge/Front Desk.
• Greets and interacts with residents, potential residents, and family members, ensuring a positive service experience.
• Follows hospitality touchpoints and procedures according to company standard.
• Notifies residents and screens visitors to “sign in” at concierge desk.
• Cleaning and sanitizing assigned rooms and resident apartments including but not limited to, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting, cleaning bathroom, kitchens and living areas, dusting, emptying trash, making beds and linen service where applicable.
• Cleans common areas, including but not limited to public restrooms, halls, landings, restaurants, stairs, activities areas, lobbies, elevators, model rooms, patio, and grounds area.
• Loads washers and dryers and folds sheets and towels in laundry room as needed.
• Notifies appropriate management of any hazardous or safety issues, change in resident status, and other situations that would warrant attention.
• Receiving and serving food and drink orders from customers and answers questions about menu items.
• Sets tables or prepare food stations for new customers.
• Stocks service stations, cabinets, and tables.
• Answers and screens all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, routing calls and taking messages according to policies and procedures.
• Oversees sign-up for scheduled transportation.
• Receives and processes incoming and outgoing mail/packages.
• Types, copies, orders, and maintains inventory of office supplies, performing other clerical duties as assigned.
• Assists managers with various clerical responsibilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Excellent listening skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in a hospitality, healthcare or service environment is preferred.

Working Conditions

The Residential Support Concierge works within the Senior Living Community, where there may be possible exposure to communicable diseases and infection, exposure to latex, possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, possible exposure to various chemical, infectious, or biological hazards, and possible exposure to pets.
