📍 75% Onsite (Des Plaines, IL)) | 25% Remote | Up to 35% Travel

Join a high-impact engineering team supporting critical FAA infrastructure upgrades across the region. We're seeking a mid-level Electrical Project Engineer to develop and manage technical project packages for power systems, unstaffed facilities, and air navigation infrastructure. You'll play a key role from site survey through design and project execution.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, plan, and document electrical systems for FAA facilities

• Conduct site surveys and apply relevant codes and standards (FAA, federal, local)

• Develop project drawings, specs, scopes of work, and engineering estimates

• Perform Arc Flash Analysis and use SKM for system modeling

• Support construction oversight, acceptance inspections, and feasibility studies

• Coordinate closely with FAA stakeholders and technical teams

What You Bring:

• BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with 5+ years in project/resident engineering

• Experience designing power systems, sizing equipment, and breaker panel layout

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Arc Flash Analysis, and SKM Software

• Knowledge of UIS facilities and FAA engineering standards (NASET/NASEB) a plus
