About Us.


The Alternative Community Corrections Program (ACCP) is a Tennessee Department of Correction treatment provider for non-violent felony offenders administered through the First Tennessee Human Resource Agency (FTHRA).  The program provides comprehensive, intensive outpatient treatment and court ordered supervision for clients with addiction issues within the First Judicial District of Northeast Tennessee.



We are looking to hire fulltime a Resource Case Officer based at our headquarters in Johnson City. (on-site; no weekends)



What You Will Be Doing.


Our Resource Case Officer maintains case files/records for offenders assigned to the program, interviews offenders regularly to evaluate their progress in accomplishing goals and maintaining specified terms/rehabilitation plans. The position also administers career assessment(s), conducts career training, and works within the community to secure jobs and employment opportunities. This position will also be responsible for assisting offenders with other needed community resources (i.e. employment, educational opportunities, vocational training, medical and housing). Closely collaborates and coordinates with other ACCP teammates.





  • Appears as Officer and liaison with the Criminal Courts in the First Judicial District;

  • Conducts pre-sentence investigations and post sentence report for court;

  • Supervises an assigned caseload (initially 15 but not to exceed 30), meeting with clients in the office to provide appropriate services needed along with recommendations for community service placement, skills training and reentry;

  • Administers required career assessment(s), conducts career training and education, and works within the community to secure jobs and employment opportunities for offenders assigned to ACCP.

  • Secures new and maintaining current, beneficial and professional community relations with other non-profit and governmental agencies for the purpose of community service placements for offenders assigned to ACCP;

  • Prepares monthly statistical reports, quarterly checks, file checks, exit summaries, violation reports, etc.

  • Closely collaborates and coordinates supervision of treatment with other ACCP teammates.



Education & Skills You Need.


Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline required.


Two years’ work experience in criminal justice system in human services or the criminal justice system preferred. Recent graduates will be considered.


Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Excel) and Google platforms (Docs/Sheets).
