Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Respiratory Care team in Maywood, IL. This position specializes in Neonatal and Pediatric Respiratory Care with flexibility to float to adult units based on patient census. Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM | 3 Nights/Week | 36 Hours/Week

Schedule: Monday-Friday, every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment type and frequency.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
• Document and communicate patient progress and condition.
• Provide advanced respiratory care modalities and administer medications.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, conditions, and available support resources.
• Act as a vital member of emergency resuscitation/code response teams.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Licensure/Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (Neo/Peds preferred)
• Ability to float between neonatal, pediatric, and adult units
