Respiratory Therapist

PER-DIEM RESPIRATORY THERAPIST

Monrovia Post-Acute is seeking a dependable per-diem Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing respiratory care team.

This position is primarily intended to provide weekend coverage, with occasional weekday and holiday opportunities based on patient census, employee absences, vacations, new admissions, and departmental needs. Scheduled hours will vary, and a fixed number of weekly hours is not guaranteed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory treatments and assessments according to physician orders and facility policies.

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Monitor resident response to respiratory treatments.

• Communicate changes in condition to nursing and appropriate members of the interdisciplinary team.

• Follow infection-control, safety, and equipment-management procedures.

• Assist with additional coverage when available.

Qualifications:

• Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license

• Current BLS certification

• Skilled nursing, subacute, or long-term-care experience preferred.

• Dependable weekend availability.

• Strong communication, time-management, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Schedule:

• Per diem/as needed

• Primary need is weekend coverage.

• Occasional weekday and holiday shifts may be available.

• Typical shift begins at 8:00 a.m.

• Availability for at least two weekends per month preferred

Compensation: $32-35 per hour
