Respiratory Therapist- PRN

We are seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position provides respiratory care services on an as-needed basis to patients across multiple care settings, including the emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient services. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and committed to delivering safe, evidence-based respiratory therapy in a rural hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

  Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.

  Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to therapy.

  Manage and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.

  Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-support interventions when needed.

  Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.

  Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, treatments, and equipment use.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Current Respiratory Therapy certification required.

  
  


• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.

  Previous hospital respiratory therapy experience preferred.

  Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, rural hospital environment.
