Respiratory Therapy Lead

Auburn Village located in Auburn, IN just north of Fort Wayne, has an immediate opening for an experienced Respiratory Director. This is a Full-Time, Position with the following hours:  8 hours 2 days a week and 12 hours 2 days per week. 

PLUS, MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT FOR ROUND TRIP COMMUTE OVER 20 miles but less than 50 miles round trip.

Completely renovated in 2017, Auburn Village features a vent/trach unit in addition to providing general respiratory care to our patients. We are looking for a dynamic, patient-centric experienced Respiratory Director to lead our team.

You'll work closely with our new Administrator and DON to help build a collaborative inter-disciplinary team whose goal is to make Auburn Village the premier skilled nursing facility in the area. Come excel with us!

The Respiratory Therapy Lead will:

• Oversee the diagnostics, treatment and educational services for residents with respiratory disorders
• Manage team of full, part-time and PRN RTs including scheduling and covering call-offs to ensure 24/7 care
• Develop and implement respiratory care services in accordance with the policies of the facilities and the directives of the medical staff
• Evaluate and assess health care trends in order to establish new patterns of service
• Monitor and document residents' progress and treatment plans
• Educate medical care providers, such as nurses and aides
• Maintain department records and statistics; audit therapists' documentation
• Order supplies

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; licensed in INDIANA
• Must have experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Managerial/Supervisory experience in Respiratory Therapy, (skilled nursing preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with other clinicians, residents and families
• Demonstrated capability of resolving any escalated issues arising within facility operations
• Experience in the use of Point Click Care (PCC) documentation system
