Hours: Mon-Fri 9a-5p (40hr)

Starting Pay: $20/hr

Pathfinder is looking for a Respite House Manager to lead and support services in a home-like setting for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll oversee daily operations at the Huntington County Respite Home, guide a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and ensure that care meets the needs of each person supported. This role is a mix of leadership, advocacy, planning, and hands-on service, focused on helping people live meaningful and empowered lives.

As a Respite House Manager at Pathfinder, You Will:

Lead Day-to-Day Operations

  • Oversee services provided in the Respite House, ensuring they follow each person’s support plan (PCISP).
  • Supervise and train DSPs, modeling how to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Create staff schedules, fill open shifts when needed, and approve time records.
  • Organize staff meetings and maintain a positive team environment.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the home, arranging for repairs and upkeep.

Support Individuals and Families

  • Build strong relationships with people supported, their families, and care teams.
  • Advocate for people in planning meetings and help connect them with needed services.
  • Ensure ISP goals, safety measures, and behavioral supports are followed at all times.
  • Track and report individual progress through monthly and quarterly updates.
  • Help people take part in meaningful activities and build natural support networks.

Ensure Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records for health, medications, finances, and daily activities.
  • Follow all Medicaid Waiver, licensing, and Pathfinder standards.
  • Monitor changes in funding and adjust service planning accordingly.
  • Participate in audits and address findings with corrective action plans when needed.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic tech tools.

Requirements

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • 3-5 years in the Human Service field or related field.
  • Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, if needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
  • Essential physical skills: be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull against potential resistance, and implement non-physical and approved physical interventions and CPR with people supported when needed.
