Salary: Flexible (DOE) + Bonus/Commission (TBC)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Responsible Individual to join an investor-backed, fast-growing children’s residential care provider operating across Chesterfield and Birmingham. The organisation has recently been established and is entering an ambitious growth phase, with a strong pipeline of new children’s homes planned over the coming years.

This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to take oversight of early-stage services, support new home registrations, and play a key role in shaping the quality, culture, and operational standards across a growing portfolio of homes.

Key Responsibilities

Take on temporary and ongoing RI registration for children’s homes across Chesterfield and Birmingham

Support the launch and mobilisation of new residential children’s homes

Provide strategic oversight and ensure regulatory compliance across all services

Build and support strong leadership teams within each home

Ensure consistent, high-quality standards of care across all provisions

Oversee safeguarding, quality assurance, and operational performance

Work closely with senior leadership and investors to support structured growth

Ensure all homes are aligned with Ofsted requirements and best practice standards

Contribute to the long-term development and expansion strategy of the organisation

Requirements

Previous experience as a Responsible Individual within children’s residential care

Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and compliance requirements

Experience supporting the setup or turnaround of children’s homes (desirable)

Proven ability to oversee multiple services or developing provisions

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment

Passion for delivering high-quality outcomes for children and young people
