A barista job involves crafting and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, focusing heavily on excellent customer service, taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace with knowledge of recipes, equipment, and food safety. Key duties include greeting customers, making recommendations, operating espresso machines, cleaning, restocking supplies, and handling food items like pastries, all while creating a welcoming environment. 

Core Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately (including customizations like milk type, syrups), answer menu questions, and process payments (cash/card).
• Beverage Preparation: Prepare hot and cold drinks following recipes, often involving latte art and specific techniques for espresso, coffee, and teas.
• Food Service: Serve baked goods, sandwiches, and other food items.
• Workspace Management: Keep the bar, dining area, equipment (espresso machine, grinders), and restrooms clean, stocked, and organized.
• Inventory & Stocking: Restock supplies like syrups, cups, coffee beans, and pastries.
• Operational Tasks: Brew drip coffee, handle dishes, manage trash, and potentially assist with deliveries or special events. 

Key Skills & Requirements

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with espresso machines, grinders, milk frothing, and brewing methods; attention to detail for quality.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, friendly demeanor, multitasking, time management, and teamwork.
• Knowledge: Understanding of coffee, menu items, ingredients, and food safety/sanitation.
• Availability: Flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
