Job Description - Restaurant Afternoon/Night General Manager

The Thirsty Fox Pub & Grill is busy and growing, and we are now seeking a General Manager to work primarily between 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm Wednesdays through Sundays. This position requires experience in managing staff members. We average 11 to 14 employees for our afternoon/night shift. Job Responsibilities & Duties:

Not only do you like to supervise a team, you also like to roll up your sleeves and lead by example.
Engage in ongoing employee training and maintaining standards.
Greet our guests and help the overall flow of the restaurant.
Schedule servers to their assigned areas.
Maintain a professional work environment where people are well trained, respectful, safety conscious and excited to come to work each day.
A clean, sanitary, and well-maintained kitchen and bar area is something that you take pride in. You must lead the team to complete all cleaning schedules.
Jump in where needed to resolve issues and ensure a good customer experience.
Provide direction to kitchen and front house staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties & cleaning schedules.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local food handling requirements.
Monitor labor costs to attain budgeted goals within restaurant policies and procedures.
Monitor all food plating for quality and consistency.
Participate in the hiring process by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

Customer service
People management, fostering teamwork, and giving feedback
Planning and multi-tasking
Understand labor budgeting.
Self-motivated with a high energy level
Conflict resolution
Verbal communication

Education, Experience, and License Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
3+ years of restaurant-related management experience
Comfortable using a computer, navigating standard office and point-of-sale software
