Restaurant Assistant General Manager

Penn Station Shadyside is looking for a driven Assistant General Manager to join our team!

Full-Time | $55,000–$60,000/year | 50 hours/week

Our crew is full of energy and potential. Now we're looking for an AGM who can be a true right hand to the General Manager—someone who can help develop a young team, reinforce strong systems, and keep the operation running smoothly during high-volume shifts. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into a General Manager position by learning how to lead with consistency, coach with impact, and execute with excellence. What You'll Do:

• Lead from the front during peak business hours with urgency, clarity, and accountability
• Train, mentor, and develop a young crew, many of whom are new to the industry
• Collaborate with the GM to build sustainable systems and improve operations
• Solve problems decisively, especially under pressure
• Uphold our high standards for quality, cleanliness, food safety, and speed
• Take ownership of results, but share wins generously

What We're Looking For:

• Prior leadership experience in fast-casual or quick service (GM, AGM, or strong Shift Lead ready to step up)
• Track record of developing people and getting results under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, especially in fast-moving situations
• Natural problem-solver who thrives on momentum and responsibility
• Availability to work 50 hours/week with flexibility for mornings, evenings, and weekends
