Position Purpose
The Restaurant Expeditor is the crucial link between the front and back of house ensuring orders make it to the guests in a timely manner. At the Old Savannah Distillery (OSD), you will organize ticket orders, coordinate cooking times, conduct quality control on the plating and temperature of orders, and add final garnishes. This position requires a good sense of responsibility to direct others with the ability to motivate staff and promote a harmonious workplace.

Essential Functions
Coordinate communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure accurate and timely food delivery.
Verify all orders for accuracy, presentation, and quality before serving to the guests.
Organize and prioritize food tickets during high-volume service periods.
Ensure proper garnishing, plating, and all orders adhere to restaurant standards.
Monitor ticket times, work with kitchen staff to maintain efficient service flow.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work independently over long periods of time and in groups within the scope of established rules and regulations
Ability to display a positive, energetic, and outwardly friendly attitude towards guests and co-workers.
Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.
Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant culinary operations.
A food handling certification program is required to be completed before working in the kitchen.
Other Requirements
Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing.
Have a passion for helping people and making their Savannah experience a memorable one.
Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certifications.
