The Strand House, Manhattan Beach’s premier upscale oceanfront restaurant and nightlife destination, is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager with nightlife experience to join our amazing team.

Our ideal candidate will treat The Strand House as their own and will collaborate heavily with leadership to maximize the financial potential of the restaurant, while maintaining an excellent work environment and high quality of service and product. They will love to be on the floor, taking care of guests, making sure they’re having a great time.

What you will do…

• Lead all daily front-of-house operations and service standards at The Strand House
• Supervise, train, and schedule a talented FOH team members (servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, barbacks)
• Ensure exceptional guest service and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Events Team, and General Manager to execute private events and restaurant promotions
• Manage labor, costs, and budgets to meet financial goals
• Uphold compliance with CA labor laws, health and safety protocols, and responsible alcohol service standards
• Engage with the local community to build relationships and grow brand loyalty

This Position is for you if you…

• Have 5+ years of experience in upscale or high-volume restaurant management including nightlife experience a plus 
• Are a confident, organized, and proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment
• Know how to coach and develop individuals while holding the team accountable and the ability to inspire team members to provide genuine hospitality and impeccable service. Your leadership style promotes mutual trust, respect, and teamwork.
• Solid understanding of California labor laws, Health Department guidelines, etc.
• Are well-versed in restaurant financials including a strong acumen of P&L, labor management, and cost controls
• Can balance strategic oversight with hands-on floor presence
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Are tech-savvy and comfortable with POS systems, labor scheduling tools, and reporting platforms
• Are passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Have a connection to or appreciation for the South Bay lifestyle (a plus)
