Currently, we own and operate Bar Pigalle in the Brush Park neighborhood of Detroit. After opening Bar Pigalle in 2022 and seeing great success, we have decided to open a new exciting concept in Berkley, MI. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, service, and community. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and drive our success.
Position Overview:
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall operations of our restaurant, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, team performance, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure adherence to operational standards
- Lead, train, and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Implement effective marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and attract guests
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Build strong relationships with guests and the community to enhance the restaurant's reputation
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively and professionally
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering and purchasing processes
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and management
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Bar Pigalle serves French-inspired cuisine and a mélange of playful cocktails with a fantastic wine list. Helmed by award-winning mixologist Travis Fourmont, Bar Pigalle is located at 2915 John R Street in the heart of Brush Park, tucked inside The Carlton Lofts. The historic building, built by legendary American architect Louis Kamper, was the backdrop for one of the hottest jazz scenes in the 1920s and 1930s. The building’s rich history and Brush Park, once known as Little Paris, became the perfect location for a fresh, new dining option like Bar Pigalle.
